So, speaking from experience, we've found that if you need a lasercutter induction you'd best do it early. Me and Sadie went to the Woodwork induction at the beginning of the second week of this brief thinking we'd left plenty of time. Unfortunately there were only two slots left for the whole of the year. Fortunately a friend was at hand to help us. I accompanied her whilst she worked the lasercutter and gave directions of what we wanted. Above are the beginnings to our woodblock design and wax seal design. They both show the same logo to keep consistency throughout the work.
Above are the designs for embossing that have been lasercut. The counters of the p's were too thin so they just fell off as I picked it up out of the lasercutter. There was nothing that could be done if we wanted this size within the postcard. Me and Sadie have spoken and we are going to see what this looks like embossed and go from there. I personally think that this design is so complex that it will be impressive to see embossed. Fulfilling the idea that we will be showing something inspiring to the first years.
