Speaking from experience, Collaboration

From my two initial ideas:

'How to make the most of the print resources and stock'.
and
'How to avoid food dissapearances'.

I have chosen 'How to make the most of the print resources' because of its potential.  I think that it will show a wide range of skills and resolutions that the new first years will feel inspired by and motivated to go and try these techniques and use the equipment.  The 'How to avoid food dissapearances' idea seemed more lighthearted and could be taken in a humorous direction, but still, I feel it would end the year fittingly to go over print processes once again, and to highlight techniques that might get overlooked by the first years.
I have also chosen to work as part of a collaboration with Sadie Thompson.  We both expanded on this initial idea and shared the same enthusiasm for it.  We have the same level of experience on print processes and have different areas of specialism, for example:

From these interests and attributes we've come to the conclusion that we will work well together and bring out the best in eachother design wise.  There is too much work to do this brief alone, and we can really maximise potential on this project as a collaboration.

The whole point to this idea is that we have all come from different backgrounds that may not necessarily have already covered screenprinting, letter press, wood block etc.  This means that everyone is at a different level.  We want to highlight these techniques, show where they are, how they're done, so that it gets them thinking about their potential and the potential of their designs.
