Here are the high quality images I have taken of Luis- pictures that hopefully won't turn out pixelated. They definitely shouldn't.
And here are a select few that i've decided to focus on and experiment with:
The many faces of Luis.
From my previous design it was painfully clear that I hadn't read the brief properly. So, I did. I need two images. However, I am extremely happy with my initial digital design, so first of all i'll attempt to make it work with two images.
A few layout designs in preparation for my digital designs. The top image the grid I have used. I will carry it over into InDesign to keep consistency and order.
I had some issues when trying to find out how to create a space between the object (image) and the text. After about fifteen minutes of looking through every window option I found the text wrap table. From this I had further issues. I clicked around, highlighting the text..then both.. then clicked on everything until it worked out. I'm happy that in the end I came to my own conclusion because now it's more likely that i'll remember how to do it in the future.
Now i've got some of the basics down i'll start messing around with the layout some more:
I need to think about using a different typeface?
FontBook:
I think a Serif font will work well as it is a more serious contrast against the humorous content/ subject matter. The title itself is tongue in cheek- juxtaposing bananas with the meaning of life. I think if I make the general look of the layout serious and professional it will seem even more funny because it looks like a real article.
