'Good is...' Workshop

My own rationale and concept

Aims:

Create/Promote/Brand a clothing company that focuses solely on Aztec culture/patterns.

Audience:
People interested in history.
People interested in fashion, more specifically surface patterns within clothing.

Mandatory requirements:
Branding/Packaging/Promotion.

Deliverables:
Clothing company with the main aim to inspire and interest.  COLOUR.

More specific:
In-studio workshop
  
Task:
Five of each in relation to the statement above:

What makes it good?
- Colour- bright
- Textures- busy images/patterns
- The meaning behind it- there is a story attatched to all the imagery.
- Shapes- easily transferable into graphic design/fashion.
- Popular look within fashion at the minute- current and clearly popular.
 
Who would find it good?
- Young adults interested in fashion/print.
- Historians interested in Aztec mythology/imagery.
- Mexicans interested in their heritage.
- Surface pattern designers interested in the concept side.
- Branding enthusiasts.

Who wouldn't find it good?
- Historians who think it would make the information less legitimate by using fashion to inform.  Gimmiky.
- Young adults who aren't interested in anything to do with Aztecs.
- The Amish- they don't like colour.
- Colourblind.
- Heavily epileptic people.

What is it better than?
- African imagery/patterns.
- Indian imagery patterns/culture- COLOURS.
- Traditional English patterns.
- Other shocking mytholgy, i.e.Egyptians.
- Ed Hardy.

If it was a profession what would it be?
- Eating sugar- sugar testing.

- The firs ever Aztec exhibition in Britain.
- A short film in an independent cinema.
- A celebration of The Aztec mythology.

Sugar testing.

If it was a celebrity who would it be?
Richard Pryor.

If it was a place where would it be?
Mexico.

If it was an even what would it be?
A celebration of Aztec culture/mythology.

If it was a product what would it be?
Clothing.

Extension task:
Need to explore further into all of these questions to get a broader range, come up with different ideas etc.
What makes it good?

NO.

This 'good' is too open.  Need to simplify first.
